I have mentored developers formally through CareerFoundry and Springboard, and informally through work, interviews, and Alpstack. Since 2021, mentoring has become a steady part of my week, somewhere between code review, therapy for broken builds, and reminding people that naming things is still the hardest problem.
My style is practical. I do not float around with generic advice like "be passionate" and disappear. We look at the code, the decision, the bug, the interview problem, or the career move, then we make it clearer.
I have helped 75+ aspiring and working developers improve their confidence, technical depth, and decision-making. The goal is not to make people dependent on me. The goal is to help them hear my annoying little architecture voice in their head when I am not in the room.
