Software Development with Renish

I build software end to end: the architecture, backend, APIs, web interface, deployment path, and the little operational details that usually become loud later.

14+ years across Aon, Pearson/GlobalEnglish, Peerlyst, Intuitive Cloud, Acquia, and Alpstack

Built microservices, mobile apps, notification systems, and product platforms from early design to production

Improved a login system performance by 60% and worked on products serving large user bases

Solo founder experience building Fiveto9Jobs, TinyDose, Cravr, HousePulse, Triotask, GritSpark, and Indraft

My first professional systems were not glamorous. JCL, Cobol, C#, SQL Server, classic ASP. The kind of work where one wrong assumption can make a benefits platform very grumpy. That early discipline still shapes how I build modern products.

Since then I have worked across education, health benefits, social networking, cloud platforms, and my own Alpstack products. I like software that survives contact with real users. Demo day is nice, but production is where the truth keeps receipts.

If you need a developer who can talk product, design the system, write the code, review the tradeoffs, and still care about the release checklist, this is the lane.

What I can help with

  • Product architecture and technical planning
  • Backend services, REST APIs, integrations, and data models
  • Web applications and admin dashboards
  • Production readiness: deploys, logging, monitoring, and handover
  • Code review and maintainability improvements

FAQ

What kind of software do you build?

Mostly web and cloud products: APIs, dashboards, SaaS platforms, mobile-backed systems, integrations, and internal tools. I prefer work where product thinking and engineering depth both matter.

Can you take over an existing codebase?

Yes. I usually start with a short technical review, then stabilise the risky parts before adding new features. First we stop the bleeding, then we buy nicer bandages.

Do you work through Alpstack?

Yes. Alpstack is my product and consulting company. The personal brand is Renish, the operating studio is Alpstack.
